Overview:Medication Delivery and Vascular Care Solutions (MDVC) is a platform within the Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) business unit with sales revenue exceeding $1.9 billion dollars globally.
The products within the MDVC platform support the care and maintenance of IV catheters and the delivery of medications to patients globally.
This Associate Director role is accountable for leading the development of new products and driving the Sustainability strategy across the Medication Delivery and Vascular Care Platform. They will be responsible for the achievement of key strategic marketing objectives including, but not limited to building the innovation pipeline across the platform and product lines. This includes developing deep customer understanding to drive differentiation through sustainable innovation and clinical claims to produce maximum sales, growth and profitability. This role will have to collaborate with the global marketing business leaders, key focus regions and key cross-functional team members to drive innovation over the next 5+ years. This position will be reporting to the VP/GM Medication Deliver and Vascular Care and will be responsible for directly managing and developing one marketing associate.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Developing an Innovation Roadmap to drive differentiation. This includes performing market analysis, developing customer insights, identifying new product and market innovations, developing claims, generating evidence and optimizing the product portfolio.
Improving the front-end innovation process and driving organic and inorganic projects to drive an evergreen innovation funnel, demonstrating tangible impact and securing future platform growth.
Driving key innovation projects by leading core teams and working with country/region marketers. This includes providing insights and oversight to voice of customer, conducting market research and developing pricing strategies and the business case.
Collaborating with Medical Affairs and HEOR to develop and execute plans for claims/evidence generation and clinical studies needed for differentiation. Translates clinical studies/evidence generation into potential claims to drive the business.
Driving Clinical/KOL strategy for the business including maintaining KOL relationships and developing/influencing guidelines. This includes identifying KOLs to help develop claims that sustainably differentiate the business and ensuring that global guidelines drive clear and proper usage.
Collaborating with relevant functions in portfolio planning, innovation and product development providing marketing inputs and influencing stakeholders to meet agreed upon project deliverables and platform goals; liaise with third party suppliers as necessary.
Driving the MDVC Sustainability innovation program with a focus on improving ESG and lower emissions goals for the platform. Work with regions and customers to understand needs and initiatives to deliver against sustainability requirements.
Serve as a member of the MDVC leadership team and drive leadership of the MDVC innovation council.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA strongly preferred.
10 years of experience in Product and/or Market Management in the life sciences industry with a consistent track-record of high performance and results preferred
Business experience including marketing, business development, innovation development and sustainability experience preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong Customer focus including needs identification, value proposition development, training development and experience in the field with sales force and customers

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills that are used to develop business strategies and marketing plans.
Ability to use sound, independent reasoning and judgment to establish work priorities and identify ways to optimize project timelines and to mitigate project risks/delays.
Ability to multitask and balance competing priorities in a fast paced, high-growth environment.
Demonstrated ability to independently identify, prioritize and successfully advocate for and execute opportunities that drive high growth or improved business performance.
Experience with innovation process, developing innovation roadmaps and driving innovation projects/initiatives.
Highly effective interpersonal skills and emotional Intelligence that have resulted in positive relationship building (particularly global), with the ability to work in a highly matrixed organization and to influence without authority.
Proven strategic thinking capability, including near-term and long-term portfolio strategy development, alternative analysis, and efficient resource management.
Experience in identifying market opportunities, market segmentation, completing competitive analysis, developing pricing strategies, preparing for product launch and commercialization, and developing go to market models and strategies.
Outstanding written and verbal presentation skills.
High integrity and ethics and strong fit with BD values.
