Job Description Summary

As the Minidraw UK Business Development Manager will be responsible for the launch and commercialisation of BD Minidraw, an exciting, novel and transformative specimen collection technology that has the potential to democratise access to diagnostic testing.

You will develop specimen collection in new care settings via new partnerships with care providers and commercial partners to transform access to blood testing within the UK health care system.

Our vision for Integrated Diagnostic Solutionsat BD

By aligning and simplifying our work, our Integrated Diagnostic Solutions (IDS) business unit aims to drive growth and innovation around everything from integrated specimen management to diagnostic solutions.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and Execute the UK commercialisation plan for BD MiniDraw Capillary Collection technology.

  • Identify and quantify market potential with initial focus on Pharmacy, Community and B2B segments for capillary collection.

  • Initiate, implement and monitor commercial pilots to stimulate demand, clarify unmet market needs, establish target segments and inform scale-up go-to-market plans for the UK and EMEA regional markets.

  • Collate market intelligence to support market sizing and competitive landscape and inform the development of future product use claims.

  • Partner with BD country, regional and world-wide partners to progress the UK commercialisation of Minidraw, providing market insight, updates and strategic input as needed.

  • Coordinate a full spectrum of commercialisation activities, using BD Public Policy, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Marketing and Sales functions to support the successful commercialisation.

  • Establish effective commercial partnerships with a broad range of potential partners across B2B, Private and Public healthcare organisations in the UK.

  • Develop a 3-year growth strategy and 'Go to market' plan for the UK, supporting the creation of an EMEA plan.

  • Act as the UK Ambassador for MiniDraw, demonstrating a belief in the product’s ability to transform blood collection and diagnostic delivery for the full UK market.

About you:

  • Degree in a relevant field, MBA, Marketing or Post graduate degree desirable.

  • Field Sales experience with evidence of achieving and exceeding targets.

  • Product Management and Marketing.

  • Medical Device or IVD Product Launch.

  • Commercialising of new products.

  • Strategy Development.

  • Knowledge of the Medical Device and IVD UK Regulatory environment.

  • Senior management and executive engagement experience within the NHS, Pharmacy or Medtech B2B environment.

  • Commercial Experience of IVD and UK Diagnostic markets.

  • UK Resident with valid and current driving licence is essential.

Location: England Field Based (60% Field Travel / 20% Home Working / 20% Winnersh BD Office)
