Our Advanced Patient Monitoring (APM) business unit specializes in advanced hemodynamic monitoring solutions, including artificial intelligence algorithms to provide predictive readings to clinicians, helping them get patients home to their families faster. Reporting to the APM Business Unit Director, the Territory Manager are responsible for cold calling, prospecting and building relationships that will increase account revenue growth and customer satisfaction within specified product lines and geography. Focus areas will include driving new business with responsibility for achieving sales expectations in British Columbia while providing exceptional service and support to health care practitioners to meet their patient's needs.
Responsibilities
- Serves as main point of contact within own business unit for assigned customer base utilizing full understanding of hemodynamic monitoring and/or cardiovascular anatomy, pathology and physiology relevant to BD medical products as it relates to the business
- Develops and closes new business opportunities with existing customers and identifies areas of improvement to meet sales targets while developing and executing annual plan to achieve region objectives
- Ability to meet and exceed the assigned sales plan on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Capable of independently managing time, resources, and budget within the assigned territory in conjunction with near-term plans to ensure the territory's objectives are achieved.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with customers, hospitals and physicians.
- Conduct consultative sales calls with Anesthesiologists, Intensivists and Surgeons.
- Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge, and ability to speak clinically to physicians at a high level.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Operate as a team and/or independently while demonstrating flexibility to changing requirements.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in related field.
- 3+ years of progressive and successful sales experience selling medical devices, combined with clinical OR and/or ICU background.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a past clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years, as well as meet BD's auto safety standards.
Knowledge and Skills
- Full knowledge of the strengths and limitations of own products and competitor products
- Develops deeper understanding of own business, medical devices industry and selling environment of own region
- Full understanding of hemodynamic monitoring and/or cardiovascular anatomy, pathology and physiology relevant to BD medical products as it relates to the business
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strict attention to detail.
- Understands customer needs, feedback and objections and explains products to influence customer perception of value
- Utilizes creativity and influencing skills with new or existing customers on buying decisions using tact and diplomacy
- Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
