Job Summary

The Distribution Excellence Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining governance and oversight over SEA Country Teams in managing relationships with distributors, analyzing performance metrics, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance distribution effectiveness and efficiency in the distribution channel network.  This role involves partnering SEA Country Teams in developing and implementing strategies to optimize distributor performance and ensure alignment with BD sales and distribution goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Owner

  • Own the design and governance of the distributor life cycle management process across SEA countries.
  • Partner SEA Country Teams in managing the Distributor Agreement Contracting (DA), Sub-distributor Authorization (Sub-D) and Letter of Authorization (LOA) processes to ensure check and balance, integrity and transparency.
  • Maintain DA, Sub-D and LOA database to ensure completeness and data integrity.
  • Partner SEA Country Teams in distributor on and off boarding projects.
  • Support Country Teams on the collection, consolidation, and control of distributor data submission in close collaboration with Technology & Global Services Team.

Distributor Performance Management

  • Partner SEA Country Teams in monitoring and analyzing distributor performance metrics.
  • Develop and maintain SEA distributor performance dashboard.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Partner with Ethics & Compliance, Legal and SEA Country Teams to ensure distributors comply with BD policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit and SEA Country Teams to conduct regular audits and assessments to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to standards.

Capability Builder

  • Build capabilities in SEA Country Teams in distributor management including sourcing, onboarding, offboarding, KPIs & performance management, and engagement etc.
  • Develop distributor management playbook and train SEA Country Teams in good distributor management practices.
  • Develop and maintain SEA distributor management portal.

Continuous Improvement & Excellence

  • Identify areas of improvement.
  • Drive value adding initiatives.

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • University degree.  Advanced degree a plus.
  • 8-15 years of work experience.
  • Able to demonstrate past success in a distributor management-focused role.
  • Experience in multi-national medtech, pharma and/or healthcare industries.
  • Experience in working with South East Asia countries.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Team player.
  • Able to influence without authority.
  • Confident in interacting with senior SEA management.
  • Strategic thinker.
