Procurement/Supplier Onboarding Platform Configuration – IT Programming (Hybrid/San Antonio, TX)

Job Description Summary

The Procurement Coordinator functionally administers the purchasing process and systems in support of ARAVO or any other onboarding tool. Additionally, this function is responsible for documenting and maintaining guides on various BD Intranet pages globally.  The Procurement Coordinator is also responsible for user enrollment and training, site implementation, integration with vendors and functional configuration of systems.  This role provides business support for various ERP’s and participates as a functional team member for new purchasing systems and system enhancements. Other duties as assigned.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the ARAVO system administrator and is responsible for the continuous functioning and optimization of the Onboarding platform which includes upgrades, improvement, and enhancements.

  • Updates and maintains job aids and training materials to ensure they are current.

  • Responsible for troubleshooting and configuration for supplier onboarding and SCR (Supplier Change Request) Portal.

  • Monitors vendor utilization and manages vendor enrollment.

  • Is also responsible for producing reports on a daily, monthly, and ad hoc basis. 

  • Provides support for internal/external users by resolving technical issues.

  • Identify and implement continuous improvements to system/process.

Sphere of Influence:

  • The Procurement Coordinator reports to the KAM Team Lead. Influence extends to peers and team members and may extend to key stakeholders across the user community. The Procurement Coordinator works with the Process Owner for direction. Serves in a liaison capacity with ARAVO SaaS (Software as a Service) and Information Technology representatives to develop and implement solutions to problems and issues as well as system enhancements and upgrades. 

  • Participates on strategic sourcing teams as applicable.  May be involved in cross-functional teams and engage with suppliers to resolve more complex problems.

Qualifications:

The Procurement Coordinator must demonstrate competencies in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of the Requisition to Pay process.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience in working in complex Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment (SAP preferred) and e-procurement systems.

  • Experience in SaaS System Configuration preferred.

  • Ability to solve complex problems, trouble shoot, and perform quantitative and financial root cause analysis.

  • Ability to deal with internal and external customers.

  • Ability to translate business requirements to functional/system requirements.

  • Basic understanding of Project management and training delivery

  • Experience programming in Excel Visual Basic (VBA), JavaScript, or Python

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification preferred.
