The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance Business Manager and the financial planning and analysis functions. This position involves developing and analyzing the annual budget, 3-year ASR, and quarterly forecasts, as well as updating financial models. The role includes detailed budgeting for cost center expenditures, monitoring weekly sales performance, and contributing to monthly closing activities by setting up accruals and reconciling accounts. Additionally, the Finance Analyst will participate in ad hoc projects and analyses, ensuring accurate financial data submission and clear communication of financial performance. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills who enjoys working in a dynamic environment. Must be able to work onsite Monday through Thursday in our offices in Mississauga, ON, remote on Fridays.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Support the build and foundational analysis of the annual budget, 3-years strategic plan and quarterly forecasts for the business unit.
- Revenue and GP modeling - Work with Finance Business Manager and Marketing team to roll forward the financial model for gather underlying market assumptions such as pricing, business win/loss, etc.
- Working knowledge of impacts to gross profit through pricing, product cost and product mix impacts.
- Cost center planning and analysis – Work with business partners to create a detailed budget for cost center expenditures, including headcount, program spend, and depreciation.
- Data submission – Ensure timely submission of data within corporate deadlines.
Actual Reporting
- Sales performance monitoring – Collaborate with business partners to monitor and report weekly sales performance.
- Developing and streamlining report to correctly and clearly communicate the financial performance.
- Actual report includes but not limited to P&L, revenue by product line, cost center, pricing performance.
Monthly Closing
- Contribute to monthly closing including setting up accruals, reconciliation of the related general ledger accounts.
- Calculate specific data according to pre-defined reporting package requirements
- Perform analysis and data reports upon request.
- Work closely with NASSC and local accounting team to ensure revenue, cost of sales and all expenses are appropriately reflected. Report and explain expense performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries and standard balance sheet reconciliations to record GL transactional activity and adjustments to maintain complete and accurate accounting records.
Other
- Ad hoc projects, analyses, and other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. Business or Commerce an asset
- Must be actively working towards a CPA designation
- Minimum 2 years of FP&A experience, budgeting, forecasting, planning, financial and business analysis, expenses with a strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting, and month-end close activities.

- Highly motivated, energetic and team oriented.
- Organized, able to manage time/ multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written).
- Ability to interact with all levels of leadership as needed.
- Excellent time management skills to meet competing deadlines and priorities.
- Proficient with MS office tools Word, Outlook with advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Knowledge and experience with SAP/JDE ERP system and/or BPC will be an asset. Proficiency with Power BI a strong asset.
