Job Description – Project Manager Business Continuity

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing.
  • Ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are on time and within budget.

Material Analysis and Selection:

  • Evaluate and select alternative materials that meet project requirements.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis and risk assessments for material substitutions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source and test new materials.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present project updates, reports, and documentation.
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that substituted materials meet all quality and regulatory standards.
  • Implement testing protocols and oversee quality control processes.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of substituted materials.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Implement best practices for material management and substitution.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in project management, preferably in materials management or a related industry.
  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is often preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
    • Knowledge of material properties, testing methods, and regulatory standards.
