Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced cross-functional leader to spearhead the development and delivery of the Medication Delivery (MD) and Vascular Care (VC) portfolio for the Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) business. This role requires a seasoned professional with proven expertise in new product development (NPD) and technical leadership to ensure seamless system integration of disposables solutions into the final delivery system.

In this role, you will:
• Be accountable for the development and sustainability of multiple projects.
• Lead the MDVC Program Management Office, driving tasks where necessary.

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced cross-functional leader to spearhead the development and delivery of the Medication Delivery (MD) and Vascular Care (VC) portfolio for the Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) business. This role requires a seasoned professional with proven expertise in new product development (NPD) and technical leadership to ensure seamless system integration of disposables solutions into the final delivery system.

In this role, you will:

  • Be accountable for the development and sustainability of multiple projects.

  • Lead the MDVC Program Management Office, driving tasks where necessary.

  •  Oversee cross-functional teams and team leaders through the entire product development lifecycle—from design and planning to commercial launch and through sustaining.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage key timelines, dependencies, and core team resources across projects and business platforms.

  • Ensure programs are aligned with MDS business strategy, defining project scopes, budgets, and timelines.

  • Support lifecycle management of existing products, ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and cost improvement.

  • Guide project teams to deliver products on time and within budget under the direction of a portfolio steering committee.

  • Drive cross-functional project prioritization in collaboration with MDVC leadership and platform partners.

  • Coordinate, develop, and track schedules, plans, tasks, and priorities, promoting cross-functional design, technical, and business reviews.

  • Facilitate problem-solving sessions and hold team members accountable for program commitments.

  • Anticipate and mitigate risk points, making tradeoffs between time, schedule, cost, and quality while meeting safety and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide technical expertise and mentorship to Program/Project Managers and other team members.

  • Exhibit strong project leadership skills, including critical path definition and optimization to ensure efficient time to market.

  • Track project and respective platform financials, including forecasting, accruals, and actuals.

  • Interact with executives and major customers, often involving negotiation or influencing senior leaders on strategic matters.

  • Conduct presentations of technical, strategic, and business information related to specific projects or schedules.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in high-volume disposable medical device product development from concept to commercialization, including sterilization processes.

  • Proficiency in system integration to define key requirements and system-level testing between disposable and durable parts.

  • Comprehensive experience with all phases of the product life cycle: planning, feasibility, verification, validation, process qualification, transfer, and post-launch.

  • Product launch experience working with global teams.

  • Proven track record of leading multiple successful programs that met business and product objectives.

  • Strong business sense to drive portfolio prioritization aligned with overall MDVC growth targets.

  • Experience with FDA Design Control (21CFR 820.30) and EU regulations (ISO 13485 / euMDR).

  • Commercial Excellence: Applies business, financial, and commercial knowledge to successfully deliver product development outcomes.

Education and Certifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an engineering field required.

  • Post-graduate degree preferred

  • PMP certification (or similar) highly desirable.

  • PMI-ACP (or similar Agile process) certification highly desirable.

  • Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement experience preferred.

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in product development, manufacturing, operations, and/or engineering.
