This role offers the opportunity to lead and develop the Surgery business across the Nordics, driving commercial success in a growing market. The role involves managing people, developing business and key initiatives, and ensuring balanced revenue growth. Reporting to the Country Business Leader, BD Interventional Nordics, this field-based role requires regular travel across the Nordic region, with occasional trips to EMEA. Main responsibilities will include:
- Oversee and mentor a team of Territory Managers and a Product Manager throughout the Nordic region, ensuring strong collaboration and engagement.
- Drive commercial success through strategic and operational business planning, based on data analysis and market insights.
- Lead all aspects of sales performance, budgeting, and profitability for the Surgery product portfolio, ensuring sustainable growth.
- Develop and carry out contract and tender strategies, collaborating closely with internal teams to optimize pricing and market share.
- Work with distributors and commercial partners to strengthen business relationships and expand market opportunities.
- Ensure team members have the tools, training, and guidance needed to succeed in the field.
- Represent the business at Nordic and EMEA meetings, industry events, and congresses, fostering strong relationship and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including key opinion leaders, customers and colleagues within Nordic and EMEA.
- Promote a customer-focused approach, supporting sales teams in delivering value-driven solutions to healthcare professionals.
About you:
- Educated to degree level, you bring demonstrated commercial experience within life sciences, ideally medical devices.
- Strong ability to work with financial data, forecasting, and business analytics to inform decision-making and strategic sales planning.
- Previous experience in managing or mentoring a team, with the ability to build engagement and motivation.
- Passion for selling and an understanding of sales processes, market access, and contract management in a healthcare environment.
- In-depth knowledge of local market including legal and regulatory.
- Knowledge of tender driven business.
- Ability to build strong internal network and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams at a regional and international level.
- Fluent in English and at least one Nordic language, with excellent communication skills.
