About the role

As an Account Manager Surgery at BD, you will drive the success of our innovative surgery portfolio across Zuid-Nederland. This includes groundbreaking hernia repair solutions, infection prevention products, and advanced Biosurgery innovations, all crafted to enhance surgical outcomes, improve patient safety, and streamline procedures. You’ll have the opportunity to represent industry-leading products that make a tangible impact on patient care and support surgeons in delivering outstanding results. While your primary focus will be on Zuid-Nederland, our commercial headquarters is in Erembodegem (BE), where you'll occasionally attend sales meetings and  events.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Sales Leadership: Drive the sales of BD’s comprehensive Surgery portfolio, ensuring you meet and exceed your annual sales targets and growth objectives within your region.
  • Business Development: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities by using your initiative, creativity, and in-depth understanding of market trends and competitor activities.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, becoming a trusted partner who delivers outstanding service and value.
  • Market Analysis: Proactively analyze and report on market trends, customer needs, and competitor actions to maintain a competitive edge and advise strategic decisions.
  • Product Introduction: Successfully introduce new products to the market, providing presentations, training, and handling contract negotiations to ensure smooth adoption by customers.
  • Representation: Represent BD at relevant conferences, exhibitions, and industry events, showcasing our innovative solutions and strengthening our brand presence.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer data in Salesforce.com, ensuring all information is reviewed, updated, and accurately entered.

About you

  • Educational Background: You have an HBO degree or equivalent experience.
  • Sales Experience: deally within the healthcare sector, with a preference for experience in hernia, infection prevention, and/or Biosurgery fields.
  • Product Launch Experience: Known to work in introducing new products or brands in the Dutch market.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactivity and Self-Motivation: A self-starter who can identify and act on opportunities independently, driving them to completion.
  • Collaboration: A great teammate with a passion for learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable working in a CRM environment.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in Dutch and a strong command of English, both spoken and written.

Als Account Manager Surgery bij BD zult u het succes van onze innovatieve chirurgieportfolio in Zuid-Nederland aansturen. Dit omvat baanbrekende oplossingen voor hernia-reparatie, infectiepreventieproducten en geavanceerde Biosurgery-innovaties, allemaal ontworpen om chirurgische resultaten te verbeteren, de patiëntveiligheid te verhogen en procedures te stroomlijnen. U krijgt de kans om toonaangevende producten te vertegenwoordigen die een tastbaar effect hebben op de patiëntenzorg en chirurgen te ondersteunen bij het behalen van uitstekende resultaten.   • Zakelijke ontwikkeling: Identificeer en buit nieuwe zakelijke kansen uit door gebruik te maken van uw initiatief, creativiteit en diepgaand begrip van markttendensen en concurrentieactiviteiten.
  • Relatiemanagement: Cultiveer en onderhoud langdurige relaties met belangrijke klanten, en word een vertrouwde partner die uitstekende service en waarde levert.
  • Marktanalyse: Analyseer en rapporteer proactief over markttendensen, klantenbehoeften en concurrentieacties om een concurrentievoordeel te behouden en strategische beslissingen te adviseren.
  • Productintroductie: Introduceer nieuwe producten succesvol op de markt, door presentaties, trainingen en het afhandelen van contractonderhandelingen om een soepele adoptie door klanten te garanderen.
  • Vertegenwoordiging: Vertegenwoordig BD op relevante conferenties, beurzen en industriegebeurtenissen, en toon onze innovatieve oplossingen en versterk onze merkbekendheid.

Wie zoeken we ?

  • Opleidingsachtergrond: U heeft een HBO-diploma of gelijkwaardige ervaring.
  • Verkoopervaring: Idealiter binnen de gezondheidszorgsector, met de voorkeur voor ervaring op het gebied van hernia, infectiepreventie en/of Biosurgery.
  • Ervaring met productlanceringen: Bekend met het introduceren van nieuwe producten of merken op de Nederlandse markt.
  • Communicatievaardigheden: Uitstekende interpersoonlijke en communicatievaardigheden, zowel schriftelijk als mondeling.
  • Proactiviteit en zelfsturing: Een zelfstarter die zelfstandig kansen kan identificeren en ernaar kan handelen, en ze tot een goed einde kan brengen.
  • Samenwerking: Een geweldige teamspeler met een passie voor leren en kennisdeling.
  • Vaardig in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) en comfortabel met werken in een CRM-omgeving.
  • Taalvaardigheid: Vloeiend in het Nederlands en een goede beheersing van het Engels, zowel gesproken als geschreven.
