About the role
The Business Analytics Manager engages the appropriate Global Procurement resources and business stakeholders while leveraging the appropriate resources available from the overall organization. The Business Analytics Manager is responsible for providing actionable insights from the reporting, data intelligence and analytics associated with the portfolio Business Units and their strategic imperatives and plans.
The associate in this role works across both Procurement and the assigned businesses and leverages strong business acumen and analytical capability to integrate sourcing and business strategies to identify and pull through the opportunities at a Business Unit, Platform and Segment level. The Business Analytics Manager supports and manages reporting and monitoring of critical KDGs and other metrics for direct and indirect categories of spend and GP Programs (e.g. Risk, Sustainability, Supplier Diversity) across the assigned businesses and platforms. The Business Analytics Manager will participate in a Community of Practice with their peers, the Advanced Analytics Analysts, Value Engineering Team and Director to develop a consistent engagement and service delivery model, create and monitor a dashboard for KDGs and other key program deliverables, metrics and share best practices.
Main responsibilities will include:
Opportunity Identification
Analyze business strategies including sourcing implications to identify and pull through the highest, prioritized impactful strategic opportunities at a Business Unit and Platform level
Strategic review - platform & products Revenue / GP analysis, Bill of Material analysis to identify costs influencing the margin and alignment with GP and BU stakeholders on key projects to increase margin
Strategic process alignment – analyzing key programs and projects to identify potential opportunities for Design To Value analysis and bringing them back to the DTV Team, Product Design teams, and Global Category Managers (GCMs)
Increase pull through of business benefit / value, by alignment with BU Partners Team, Category Teams, Platform Teams, CTW teams and Finance
Generating, evaluating and reporting of opportunities using Spend and Forecasting Procurement systems (Sievo) - Identification of x-BU opportunities, material inflation analysis/gaps, LPP vs Stds.
Analyze Direct/Indirect opportunities across the Segment, Business Units, Platforms
Map spend projections for current year through the ASR period by category, regions, BUs and key suppliers and flag key opportunities. Validate against Production Planning including impact of new launches, product refreshes.
Strengthen understanding, rigor and alignment of the Risk model profile thru capacity assessments, natural disaster inputs, get our information right in the system, etc.
Facilitate the Net Promoter survey information and analysis to develop and track a targeted action plan identifying who and how to have a focused/targeted effort to improve key stakeholder relationships
Aggregate and synthesize large amounts of various types of data from various sources for deep analysis with the purpose of making conclusions and actionable insights to effectively and efficiently achieve business objectives
Provide meaningful insights from the reporting, data intelligence, analytics associated with the assigned portfolio Business Units
Reporting
Support and manage reporting and monitoring of critical KDGs and other metrics for direct and indirect categories of spend and GP Programs across the assigned business
Driving monthly review of all BU and regional key metrics, in alignment with KDGs, in close cooperation with CoE, Finance & ISC, Business Facing Teams
Increased standard cost, volumes and PPV, MUV alignment
Facilitate governance of Dashboards –Savings (Both negotiations & Proc enabled VAVE), Supplier Risk Program, SRM, R&D programs. All dimensions (Segment/BU/plants/regions)
Forecast/Demand analysis by Business unit/Platform/Segment and communicate this back to relevant stakeholders
Facilitate business/platform reviews for Design To Value opportunities and pull through of results with Procurement Leadership
Consolidate a portfolio report per BU of key direct and indirect initiatives, impact in $k and clarify progress/actions/timing/resources/help needed
Producing and highlighting trends in data & operational performance analysis
Look for standardization in reporting and ways to look at data
Ensuring standardization in processes performed (Forecast/Demand Analysis, Working Capital, Strategic Planning, CTW, PPV/MUV) and working as a Community of Practice to continuously improve the service levels (KPI’s)
