Job Description Summary

The Material Data Analyst reports directly to the R&D Manager and is responsible for collecting, compiling, analyzing and reporting material data for Specimen Management products to ensure product compliance with chemical regulations as well as address customer inquiries. The Material Data Analyst will also work with cross-functional team to perform activities in addressing product stewardship needs and defining product requirements such as sustainable packaging, materials of concern.

Job Description

• Support development and optimization of a systematic customer query response program using the SNOW database to improve system efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Work with Supplier Base Compliance (SBC) team and procurement to improve data collection completeness and accuracy.
• Gather packaging data such as weight, material composition, recycled content, and recyclability in collaboration with cross-functional team to address regulatory and customer needs.
• Work under guidance in support of corporate product stewardship initiatives such as new data management system.
• Understand and keep up to date on chemical regulations in key regions such as European Union, United States as well as other major markets.
• Provide support to project team in material risk assessment and documentation regarding product stewardship needs such as presence of materials of concern (MOC), REACH registration, substance volume tracking (SVT), safety datasheet as well as packaging requirements.
• Generate and update MOC memo to support change control project and continued MDR/IVDR compliance.
• Assist in and review labeling updates to ensure consistent and compliant labeling regarding chemical safety.
• Develop job aides/training material for product stewardship request and provide training as needed.
